RECIPE: Berries and Cream Smoothie

I legit love smoothies. Yes they have a fair amount of sugar. Yes it is better to just eat the fruit. Doesn’t matter to me. I still love ’em. I do try to get some greens in but not for this kind. This one is pure creamy berry awesomeness. Enjoy!

Serves 2 regular 600ml smoothies or a large smoothie for 1

What you need: 

1C frozen berries – blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries or a combination

2 bananas

1C full fat (thick) coconut milk or coconut cream. I use the Fairtrade brand

3/4 C almond/soy/regular milk OR cold water

Optional add ins: A handful of coconut chips, 1Tbsp Coconut or regular yoghurt, one scoop of plain protein powder for a protein boost!

What you need to do:

Put all of the ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth (usually around 2mins). Pour into a smoothie jar/shaker and serve with coconut chips and yoghurt if desired.
